Obituary – Jack W. Seymour of Leaf River, Illinois

Jack W. Seymour - 81 10/17/1932 - 5/31/2014 Leaf River, IL Jack W. Seymour, 81, of Leaf River, died Saturday May 31, 2014 in Swedish-American Hospital, Rockford. He was born Oct. 17, 1932 in Girard, IL the son of Earl & Irma (Burd) Seymour. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He retired from Sundstrand Corp. after 30 years of service and was an active and proud member of UAW Local 592. He also had a diary farm, was a member of East Rockford Pigeon Club, was an avid deer hunter, and loved working on John Deere tractors and watching western movies. Survivors include daughters, Cheri (Kevin) Bielema of Sellersburg, IN and Wendy (Joe) Kerwin of Leaf River; son, Wayne Seymour of Rockford; grandchildren, Brian & Ami Schelling, Scott & Tonya Snyder, Carrie Groom, Jennifer Seymour, and Brandon Blake; six great grandchildren; and special friend of 13 years, Melba Miller.
