Volunteers Needed for Recycling Drives

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CLOTHING AND METAL RECYCLING DRIVES!


Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful is looking for volunteers to help with upcoming clothes and metals recycling drives.


2011 SPRING DRIVES
MAY 7th, 2011 - METALS DRIVE
MAY 14TH, 2011 - CLOTHING DRIVE

WHAT: Metals and Electronics Drive 
WHEN: MAY 7th 
WHERE: Machesney Park Mall 

1st Shift - 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM
(Flagmen 1st Shift Start at 8:30AM) 
2nd Shift - 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM
3rd Shift - 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM 


(Minimum age is 16)

Volunteer Opportunities:
Car Counter (1 per shift)
Seated Position

Greeters (4 per shift) 
Greet Cars - Standing, Non-Lifting

Flagman (5 per shift)
Direct Traffic - Standing, Non-Lifting

Loaders  (15 per shift)
Lifting Position - unload metal items, electronics and appliances from vehicles

WHAT: CLOTHING DRIVE

WHEN: MAY 14TH 
WHERE: 7 Locations, All Hilander Stores 


1st Shift -  8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
2nd Shift - 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
3rd Shift -  2:00 PM to 3:30 PM

(Minimum age is 12)


Volunteer Opportunities: 
Each location will need . . . 
Car Counter (1 per shift)
Seated Position  
Greeters  (2 to 4 per shift)
Greet Cars - Standing, Some Lifting 

Bag Handlers (Up to 8 per shift)
Remove bags of clothing from cars and place in truck.  Lifting & carrying required.

Off Loaders - 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM
6 persons each
at Cherryvale and Brynwood .  
 (2 locations only)
to off-load bags from smaller trucks
into waiting trailers
