ROCKTON — For the first time in a few years, a developer is moving forward with a plan to bring new homes to northern Winnebago County.
Chris Cannell and First Rockford Group first announced plans to develop Cannell Farms subdivision in 2006. The housing development was planned for 123 acres at Rockton Road and Prairie Avenue west of Rockton.
Through the planning process, Rockton Township officials voted to object to the plan, saying among other things that the lots were too small for the number of well and septic systems needed in the development.
