Less than 23% turnout in the city, pitiful

Less than 23% of the registered voters in Rockford turned out to vote Tuesday, and not all eligible voters are registered. So less than 20% of eligible voters voted. Of that less than 10% voted for the winning candidate.

So a vocal minority elected the mayor of Rockford, so who is the mayor going to answer to and be beholding to? The money behind the campaign.

We need to step up in the next election if we want real change.
